We went to the park today for some bike riding, a picnic, and some fun with my friends, their daughter (my Goddaughter), Isabella, and me. We spent the day laying in the grass, eating sandwiches and chips and looking at the sky. It was a wonderful day. I have found my old supermodel and found a new one as well. Here they both are:

Howdy y’all! Long time no talk, eh? Well I haven’t written in a while but I thought this truly deserved a post. I got a new ice cream maker not too long ago and I have been experimenting with low calorie and low fat desserts to enjoy. It has been so hot that I just couldn’t stand it. I have made vanilla mascarpone buttermilk ice cream, mint chocolate chip, strawberry sorbet, mango sorbet, chocolate chip frozen yogurt, blueberry sorbet and last but not least, peaches and cream frozen yogurt. The sorbets are awesome but don’t satisfy the ice creamy need. The frozen yogurt was far too yogurty and we couldn’t get past the twang that came with it. I did a little research and the consensus is to add milk or other cream to counter the tang. As you know, I don’t use other people’s recipes so this is what I came up with:
So you can find my recipe here. I whipped the cream to lighten the mixture since the yogurt has been drained. This made the entire dessert very rich. I did the calorie count with non-fat and low fat yogurt and the difference is less than one calorie per serving. I actually made it with the low-fat and my husband can’t stop eating it. The tang from the yogurt is still there but is really balanced nicely with the flavor of the peaches. I used three jumbo peaches from Stater Brothers on sale this week. This is really a delicious dessert. Not only that, but you don’t even have to turn on the stove to make this frozen delicacy! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
